Antique shutter dogs. S shaped, very large, shutter holders. Black, forged cast iron with hammered texture. Salvaged, historical home, exterior window hardware.
These scroll shaped shutter dogs are huge, an extremely rare, size.
They could be used as replacements for a home restoration or be repurposed in unlimited ways, such as creative curtain tie backs.
Approximate size:
14" long
4 1/2" wide at widest point
1/4" thick
The central hole on each is irregular. One is about 1/2" in diameter and one is 3/8"
About 1 lb each.
Condition:
Salvaged, used vintage condition. There is light chipping and wear throughout. There is a set screw and nut in the edge hole present one one (it may be difficult to remove, somewhat rusted in) and there is not one present in the other.
