Vintage clown cookie jar. 1950s bald circus clown, with a little red hat, pastel pink blue outfit. Cold cast painted and made by American Bisque Ceramics (ABC), in 1959. Kitsch mid century kitchen bisque pottery canister.

Condition:
Excellent, vintage, used condition, with surface wear and crazing throughout, but no chips or cracks. The red color of his hat, nose, cheeks, lips, ears and nails has worn away, and possibly been repainted and further worn away. All the other color is clear. There is some residue on the underside, it seems as if masking tap was once covering the base, perhaps to protect what it was sitting on. There are minor blemishes to the ceramic surface, most a production flaws.
