Sorry, this item has sold.

Antique Moorcroft luster yellow pedestal bowl. 1910s British art pottery in lustre sunny gold glaze. Rare footed bowl, made in England, William Moorcroft design. Lustre glazed pottery was made for a limited time by Moorcroft, around 1913-1915.

Approximate size:
6 ¾” tall
2 ½” interior depth of bowl
9 3/8” diameter at rim
5” diameter at base

Heavy at just under 4 lb

Marked:
“Moorcroft
Made In England”
With a circle and another three characters that are difficult to discern.

Condition:
Very good, vintage, used condition, with crazing throughout and a fair amount of wear to the color and glaze, on the interior only, of the bowl (see photos above.) It appears as if this piece was possibly used to hold something, or as a planter, that caused the wearing away of the finish. There is also a slight haziness to the luster finish, in areas such as the pedestal base, that is to be expected with lusterware of this age. All of imperfections in the finish are part of production. There are no chips or cracks.
