Vintage bird ornaments. 1940s War era clear glass hummingbirds pink, green, blue and red hand painted unsilvered bird ornament. One with tail, distressed paint on each, perfect for re-purposing.
Approximate size of each:
1 ¼” tall x 3 ½” long x 1 1/8” wide (not including the tail, that one still has)
No maker’s marks.
Condition:
Quite distressed from age, and not entirely intact, but still in good vintage, used condition considering their age and extremely delicate nature. Neither of the birds still have their original clip that would have been inserted into the indent on their belly and glued. This would be used to clip them to the tree branches. The green bodied bird with the red head no longer has it’s nylon-like fiber tail. Both birds show a lot of color loss throughout, some discoloration and oxidation, but this adds to the charm.
