Vintage Christmas ball, pink, orange pair. Glass ornaments, Polish. A very old un-silvered ball with a mica glitter cross design and an oblong glass bulb, floral hand painted design on a blue foiled stripe.
This is a set of two different balls.
One is an un-foiled, orange and cranberry toned ball with mica glitter and a cross or plaid design.
This ball measures:
8 ½” circumference
The other is an oblong bulb, hand painted and foiled, with bands of pink, coppery orange and blue:
8” circumference
4 ½” long
The ball is marked Poland. It is difficult to discern what might have been on the cap of the other, but it is most likely Polish made.
Condition:
Excellent, vintage condition with expected wear for the age and delicacy of these ornaments. The ball is missing much of its mica glitter, and shows some cloudiness and fading. The bulb shaped ornaments also shows some spotting and oxidation, slight wear to the foiling. No chips or cracks.
