Vintage mid century platter, rare Granada serving dish by Nasco. Sponged painted pink on white, with an abstract blooming flower design painted in black, aqua, in the center of the oblong serving dish.
Approximate size:
13 ½” x 10 ½”
1” 1/8” tall
9 ¾” x 6 ¾” at the base
Marked:
“Hand Painted Underglaze
Granada Nasco”
Condition:
Very good vintage condition, with a small amount of chipping, three spots on the underside of the rim. These discolored chips are only visible from the side or when flipped over (see photos #7, 9 and 10). No other chips, cracks or crazing that I can discern. Anything else would be production flaws, such as, few dimples and rough areas in the glaze. Ever so slight utensil marks on the surface when held to the light.
