Rare vintage pin cushion by Sam Fink. Mid century cast metal gold butterfly, with chartreuse velvet pincushion, red faceted faux ruby eyes and faux pearl antenna ends.
Marked "SF" cast in the metal on the underside. It was made by Sam Fink, a company that designed decorative and functional metal items from the 1950s up to the 1970s, such as lipstick holders, manicure stands, lighters and various designs of pin cushions.
This style is rare, especially in this condition.
Approximately 3" long x 2 1/2" wide x 1/2" tall
Condition: Mint, with the exception of on little "crush" line in the velvet. It appears as if it was never used.
This would double as a lovely, large brooch (or pendant) if it were to be upcycled.
