An antique duck paper mache bobblehead in need repair and being sold in AS IS condition. It is missing a spring and the head is not attached. A very old and rare composition bird figurine, playing an accordion, wears a real fur trimmed red shirt, and is crafted hand painted pulp composite. Likely German-made.
Approximately:
6 1/4” tall
2 ½” wide at at widest
Maker unknown, likely made in Germany sometime around the 1920s
Condition:
Fair overall condition, but the bobblehead mechanism does not work, it is in need of a new spring and the head is therefore not currently attached, just balancing on the body for the photos (please see all photos closely). The fact that it is not in workinfg order has been factored into the price. Cosmetically, the painted paper mache surface is somewhat worn and distressed, as is the fur trim. The level of wear is to expected due to age and use.
