Vintage charm bracelet. Sterling silver letter A charm for Attendance on a silver link bracelet with a safety clasp. Initial A jewelry or perfect attendance school charm, 1940s.
The bracelet is made up of double round, wavy links, linked to other double round, wavy links.
The bracelet closes with a "sister clasp" which is a rectangular clasp that has two overlapping hooks that open in opposite directions and close when linked with the ring the other end of the bracelet. This clasp was very common in 1930s and 1940s jewelry.
The bracelet is marked "LGB" and "Sterling" inside the flat area on the clasp.
The charm is 3-dimensional, cut out letter "A" that is solid sterling silver and stands on its own. it is etched with a school bell on one flat side and the word "Attendance".
The charm is also marked "LGB" and "Sterling" on the underside.

7.5" or 17.8 cm measurement from end to end approximately
3/8" or .9 cm is the width of links of the chain approximately

Condition:
Excellent vintage condition. The bracelet itself is in mint condition, with virtually not tarnish, and the clasp is in perfect working order. The charm is in very good condition and has some minor surface wear in the form of some scratching and dullness, a touch of tarnish . I have not attempted to polish this piece, leaving that decision up to the buyer. I will gladly polish the piece, upon purchase, at request, with no extra cost to the buyer.
