Vintage photograph, 1920s schoolchildren in class, Cortland NY. The small sepia photo is the interior of a schoolhouse, children seat in a row, haunting due to the faded, over exposed edge and the clarity of only a few statuesque children.
The blackboard and high ceilings leads me to believe this is a schoolroom, however, they are all sitting in wicker porch-like furniture.
There is a chance it dates earlier than the 1920s, by the style of the furniture and what can be made out of the clothing.
The back of the photograph is marked:
"McGraw & Elliott
Druggists
Cortland, NY"
In pencil, a name in written, that appears to be "Marguerite'
The location is likely upstate NY.
Size:

Condition:
Good. Quite faded, discolored and sepia toned. The photos above make it appear as if there is more contrast in the photo than in person. The edges and corners are in good condition, with a small tear on the right edge.
