Vintage lion large chalkware bank. A Hollow chalk ware big cat, painted plaster. A rare, 2' tall carnival prize, this roaring lion statue is very chippy and distressed, and has flaws, such as two chipped teeth.
This piece is in the style of carnival prize chalkware, and could date from that era, but the origins and precise date of manufacture is unknown, and could possibly have been made as late as the 60s/70s.

Condition:
Overall, good, vintage, used and very distressed condition. The piece likely was kept outdoors for some time, hence the heavy chipping and flaking of the painted finish throughout. The major flaw is that his two left fangs are broken away. The condition has been considered in the pricing.
