A vintage Utamaro print plate by Noritake. Rare, melamine platter, oval shaped. This plastic dinnerware dates from about the 1970s, and is an extremely obscure Noritake melamine pattern featuring the woodblock artwork Hanaogi of the Ogiya by Kitagawa Utamaro . Made in Japan. Intended as an indoor or outdoor serving piece, but would mark a beautiful, vibrant display piece.
Approximate size:
13 1/4" x 10 1/4" x 1" tall
Marked:
“Noritake Melamine Japan”
Condition:
Very good overall, vintage, used condition. There is one deep scratch, in the upper right front corner of the platter. There are much lighter scratches throughout the entire suface, as would be expected.
