Vintage velvet hat. A deep, rich rusty burgundy tone, Toque by Mr. John Classics New York Paris. A woman's high crown toque, this 1960s winter hat has a unique drum shape and wide, stitched, fold up brim.
A toque is a high crowned, brimless hat, popular in the early 1960s. The brim, in this case, is folded up. The hat has a barrel pr drum shape, flat top, and is meant to sit high on head.
My model is only 8 :)
Therefore, it fits much looser on her than it would on an adult, where is would rest more on the top crown of the head.

Condition:
Very good, vintage, used condition, with some flaws from age, use and storage. There are three areas (two on folded brim, one just above) where the velvet it crushed. Each spot is about the size of a fingerprint. The hat is slightly misshapen at the brim. This could be remedied, most likely, with steam. The flaws have been accounted for in pricing.
