Vintage serving piece in aqua green by York PA Keystone Pfaltzgraff. A pottery casserole with handles, circa 1940s with an aluminum lid, hammered and with forged flower handle, likely made by Everlast and OOAK set, used together for decades, but likely not sold together.

Approximate size:
11 ½” diameter with handles
6” tall with lid
4” tall without lid
8 ¾” interior diameter
6 ½” diameter at base

The maker’s mark is very faded, but “York” and the keystone shape are visible. This piece dates from the 1940's, when Pfaltzgraff first began making dinnerware pieces. Also, the previous owners grandmother owned it and used it from that time frame onward. She also said it was always used as a set, but likely the lid was made by Everlast aluminum, around the same time period. I can find no similar set, so it is unclear if this is a OOAK set put together by the the original owner, or if it was sold this way. The lid fits like a glove.

Condition:
Very good, vintage, used condition. The pottery base has crazing throughout the finish, but there are no chips or cracks. The lid shows a moderate amount of scratching and wear, as would be expected with age and use, and particularly around the flower, which when is slightly loose and turns, and leaves a scratch ring. The screw on the underside is a touch rusty.
