Vintage calot pink velvet hat. A 1970s cap in a 1940s style, in a bold magenta pink with black ostrich feather and pearl embellishment. The style in similar to a cloche, and bromless, but also once referred to as a Juliet Cap.
This hat is a typical style of the late 40s or 1950s, small and fitted closely to the head. It is brimless, but has a sweeping, narrow, wave like asymmetrical trim, along one side, of the same velvet as the hat, that extend to the center of the back and the center of the front. It is accented with a band of velvet and three vertical rows of faux pearls, fastening a cluster of black ostrich feathers.
The velvet is a hot pink and shimmery.
There are no tags or maker's marks.

Condition:
Very good vintage. There are a few loose threads along the seeming and edges. and the velvet is a little "crushed" in a few places, but overall the velvet is in very nice condition. The feathers seem to be in very good condition, although part may be missing and one may be pulled though the attached area a bit.
