Antique books. Little Prudy's Flyaway Series, two editions from the set, including Aunt Madge's Story and Miss Thistledown, both copyright 1894, I believe they are second editions. From the Sophie May's Little Folks Books collection, published by Lee & & Shephard.
Each are hard cover, beige and red cloth bound with gold gilt. No jackets.
Approximate size of each:
6 ¼” x 4 ¾” x 1” deep
Condition:
Good overall vintage, used condition, with moderate wear. Both have some staining and water damage to the covers, wear throughout and marred corners. The exterior back cover of the red volume has the most water damage/staining. The interior cover pages of the beige volume shows red staining, perhaps transfer from them being stored together. The interior pages are in very good condition, considering the age, with some light foxing, and yellowing, mostly at the edges, throughout both. Some random, minor staining. No tears. There is a blank bookplate on the interior cover page of each volume. The illustrations are very clear and the vellum paper covering in each is intact. The condition has been factored into pricing the pair.
