Vintage un-numbered Pyrex yellow bowl. 1940s primary color largest bowl #404 Pyrex Primary Color set. No numbers on the underside. 4 quart capacity, canary yellow opal glassware line, introduced in 1945.
This would be an example of the earliest colorware pieces, having no numbers on the bottom stamp and a slightly thicker rim and base ring.
10 ¼” diameter at rim
4 ½” tall
4 ½” diameter at base
U.S. PAT OFF”
Good, vintage, used with wear from use and age. There are interior surface scratches consistent with use and minor small scratches throughout the colored exterior. Both the interior and the exterior seem a bit dark in color, almost a grayish hue, that has proven difficult to remove. The discoloration is perhaps from use, but the exterior is shiny and it is clear it has not been put in the dishwasher. There are no chips or cracks. The condition has been considered in the pricing.
