Vintage Oaxacan pottery pitcher. Yellow dripware circa 1930s Mexican pottery, a rare colorful ewer, black rimmed large mouth and handle pitcher, made in Oaxaca, Mexico. Deco drip ceramics.
Approximate size:
6 1/8” tall
10 ¼” from handle to spout
7 ¾” wide
5” diameter of opening
No maker’s marks.
Condition:
Very good, vintage, used condition. There are no chips or cracks. The glazed surface is rather matte, and there are some areas of roughness and possible discoloration, but it is difficult to determine what is the nature of the piece and what was a result of age. The base was not made completely flat, so it does wobble a bit when standing, a character of its handmade nature.
