Antique plate with an art nouveau iris motif. A decorative dish, ornate hand painted gold on butter yellow matte glaze with aqua at edges. Porcelain marked Nippon with the Meito China mark.

Mark:
Green crown with red "Hand Painted" stamped above (partially worn away. This mark dates it from sometime after 1908, but likely closer to the '20s. It is Meito China or Crown mark produced by Nogoya Seito Sho Ltd which was founded by Kotero Asukai, a former Nortike employee.
Condition:
Excellent, vintage, used condition, especially for the age. There are no chips, cracks or major flaws. Some wear to the paint, but minor, mostly the gold areas and near the edges.
