Vintage postcard Virginia postcard of Virginia's Natural Land Bridge, a hand colored black and white photograph Bell Chrome post card, post marked 1918 and sent to New York.
The front of the card reads: "160 Natural Bridge, Natural Bridge, VA."
This is a "J.P. Bell-Chrome Superior-Quality" post card with a split back and white bordered hand colored photograph.
The card was postmarked in 1918 is Bristol, Va and contains two fully intact 1 cent stamps.
The card was sent to:
"Miss Elizabeth Bremman(?)
Southampton, Long Island, N.Y."
The the message on the back of the card reads:
"Just arrived at Bristol Tenn. 8:38 p.m. St. June 15.-18. Louis fell in line for a drink."
Very good used vintage condition for the age of the card. The handwriting is slightly faded. The stamps are postmarks are clear and present. The underside of the card is slightly discolored around the edges. The corners are slightly bent and worn. There is discoloration on the border and a touch of peeling of the paper near the top on the border. The actually hand colored photograph is in lovely condition.
The card is 5.5" x 3.5" or 14 cm x 8.9 cm
This item will be kept safe in a sealed archival sleeve, shipped inside a flat, unbendable mailer!
